Project Description
The Digital Imaging programs at NAIT depend on the DI Viewer to deliver all their programs. Built originally with Flash, this React/Redux based web application uses the same backend that the flash player used, but is now in responsive HTML.
The student is given a viewer, and then can select different anatomy, plane/pulse and image to see a slice of a MRI, CT or Xray image set. The parts of the anatomy are shown with an arrow pointing to the correct location.
Test functionality, where the instructors can use to deliver summative assessments is built into the application as well. This is used to test the students and deliver their marks for the program. Another large part of the DI Viewer is a full editor. The instructors can log in with secure credentials to create and edit the viewers, and then save them to the database on the back end.
